Home Remedies for Acne Cure

Everybody has the choice to go to a doctor and treat acne but for the sake of convenience, some have opted to treat acne using home remedies. Listed below are proven home remedies for acne but as a reminder some of these will work for you while others may not.

Here is our first remedy: get a yogurt and fine oatmeal. Combine these to make a thick paste and then apply on the infected area. Leave it there to dry. Later, you can wash it with lukewarm water and then pat it dry with a clean towel. Once you’ve done, you can now apply any antibiotic prescribed by your dermatologist.

There are also special types of toothpaste which have been known to show healing wonders. Just apply the paste before sleeping time and this would help alleviate swelling of the acne. Besides toothpaste, strawberry leaves can also do a good job. Place the strawberry leaves on the acne and its alkalinic properties will help reduce the inflammation. In case you wanted to wash your face after putting on the remedy, consider using lukewarm water with salt. This would help manage the oil albeit temporarily.

Another great remedy is to use a soap or gel that has Aloe Vera as its basic ingredient. Aloe Vera has been known to help in the healing of common damages to the skin.

You can also mix 1 teaspoon of lemon juice with a teaspoon of finely ground cinnamon powder and put this on the affected area. Do this before bedtime, and then in the morning after you wake up, wash your face with lukewarm water. For those who have large pimples, you can apply some ice on it to reduce the swelling. If you’re thinking of another remedy, then mix some lime juice and rose water then apply this to the acne. Leave it there for 15-20 minutes then wash again with lukewarm water preferably mixed with salt.

Other remedies that can help reduce the inflammation or swelling of acne is through the use of fruits. If you have tomatoes, you can use the pulp and apply it to the acne or pimples. Just leave it there for an hour then wash.
