Teenage Acne: Common Experience for Teens

Teenage acne is a common experience for teenagers during puberty stage. As a teen continues to develop and groom himself towards adolescence comes the time where acne breakouts proliferates and continues to grow in number. This can be considered as one of the most devastating and frustrating part of being a teenager. This affects not only the physical but also the emotional, psychological and social behavior of a teen towards his environment, peer group and the way he sees life in general. So just think of how this can greatly affect a teenager’s way of seeing life in a proper perspective.

Acne is known to occur on teenagers specifically when hormonal imbalance surfaces. This kind of imbalance is considered as main grounds in excess oil secretions coupled with dead skin cells. This merge causes acne on the surface of the skin. In the beginning of puberty stage, the body produces the hormone androgens. Oftentimes, it is recognized that during these stage teenagers suffered from severe acne. This is due primarily to the existence of hair follicles blocking and clogging the pores and once excess oil combines with dead skin cells the production and development of bumps and inflamed acne occur.

Therefore, teenage acne should be taken with prime attention and appropriate treatment method. This should involve a good skin regimen that will help in eliminating or preventing teenage acne. It would also help a great deal if you wash your face with mild soap and water. Getting enough rest and proper diet will also aid in developing good and supple skin.
